HighFleet: Deus in Nobis is a real-time strategy with a unique combat system. The game, in which we take the helm of a fleet of powerful flying ships, was developed by Konstantin Koshutin and released by MicroProse Software, which was reactivated in 2019.

Plot

HighFleet: Deus in Nobis takes us on a journey into a post-apocalyptic future where the House of Sayadi is in a fierce battle with the rebellious Kingdom of Gerat. During the game we play as commanders of the former's fleet and our task is to regain control over lands belonging to the rebels.

Mechanics

In HighFleet: Deus in Nobis, we control a fleet of flying ships, ranging from light fighters to gigantic cruisers weighing thousands of tons. In order to build our position in the barren lands of the Kingdom of Gerat, we have to skilfully manage the available resources - from human, to fuel, to other resources needed to upgrade and service our ships. Besides, diplomacy and keeping more or less friendly relations with various factions living in this area play an important role.

The combat system makes this title different from many other games of this type. We often encounter enemy units, with which we have to fight spectacular duels. Although the real-time battles are dynamic, reflexes and dexterity cannot guarantee success. During the battles we have to show a tactical sense, look for the weak points of our adversaries and occupy appropriate positions.

The game includes an advanced editor, which allows us not only to customise individual ships, but also to install powerful weaponry, useful gadgets and other upgrades.

Technical aspects

HighFleet: Deus in Nobis has a good graphics done in a cartoony, dieselpunk style.
