RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition is the full release of the cult economic strategy from 2004. The game stands out from the original due to its support for panoramic resolutions; besides, the game has been enriched with two expansions - Soaked! and Wild!. This game was developed by Frontier Developments, whose portfolio includes both the original and a wide range of other games of this type.

Mechanics

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition allows us to create great theme parks from scratch; their greatest asset are the roller coasters, which we design by ourselves. The authors provide us with over 300 types of rollercoasters and related attractions, 500 decorative elements and 60 types of stores and service points. Moreover, thanks to the Soaked! expansion we can build a huge aquapark with winding slides and huge pools, and add-on Wild! brings elements related to wildlife, with 20 animal species at the forefront, which we present on special catwalks. In addition, the game has implemented Peep Designer tools (allowing you to design your own guests) and MixMaster (where you can prepare fireworks and lasers demonstrations yourself).

All our activities should be aimed at making the park attractive to the largest and most diverse clientele possible. This is important because the people who visit us differ from each other in terms of their individual preferences; while children and their parents look for smaller attractions like small merry-go-rounds, impressionable young people look for extreme sensations on the biggest and fastest rollercoasters. Interestingly, although the action is shown here from the top-down view, we can check how our rollercoasters work by testing them from the guest's perspective.

So we have a lot of possibilities, but the access to them limits the abundance of our virtual wallets. In order to become tycoons of the entertainment industry, we have to not only make our park as attractive as possible, but also keep an eye on finances and carefully watch the staff.

Game modes

In RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition, a career mode is waiting to be tested, in which we leave the competition behind step by step over a dozen scenarios. In addition, a sandbox module was prepared for players who prefer financial independence.

Technical aspects

While working on RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition, the developers slightly refreshed the design and adapted it to work in panoramic mode; the same applies to the user interface.
