Teslagrad Remastered

Teslagrad Remastered is a remastered version of the warmly received platformer with puzzle and adventure game elements from 2013. It was developed by Rain Games, the independent studio responsible for the first game, and released alongside the series' second installment.

Plot

Teslagrad Remastered is set in an alternate, steampunk version of Europe, more specifically - in the fictional Kingdom of Elektropia, ruled by a cruel tyrant. The game's playable character, a young boy, escapes a manhunt to the abandoned Tesla Tower, where technological wizards known as Teslamancers once used to reside. In order to reach the top, he must master the forgotten art of Teslamancy.

Mechanics

Teslagrad Remastered is a side-scroller. Our main obstacles on our way up the tower are puzzles based on manipulating electricity and magnetism. By acquiring Teslamancer tools we can face more complex puzzles and thus gain access to new floors. Though we learn more about the tower, the world and its laws as we progress through the game, the story is completely wordless and devoid of cutscenes, being told by the environment.

While working on the remaster, the developers removed the problems plaguing the original game and added ten additional challenge levels to truly test our skill and creativity.

Technical aspects

Teslagrad Remastered distinguishes itself from the original game with its refreshed visuals; lighting and animations in particular have been improved. The game's soundtrack was also remastered, including orchestral, metal and electronic tracks.
