The Elder Scrolls: Castles is a free-to-play strategy-simulation game, developed and published by Bethesda. It is very reminiscent of Fallout Shelter, another one of the studio's free-to-play games.
Plot
The Elder Scrolls: Castles is set in a fantasy universe of The Elder Scrolls. The player must manage their own castle and its residing dynasty. It's up to us how the fate of the family unfolds over generations.
Mechanics
The Elder Scrolls: Castles works in real-time; one actual day equals one in-game year. Observing the game from the side, the player must delve into the castle life. We must expand the building, decorate it to our liking, train our subjects and give them orders, as well as make choices that will affect the future of our bloodline (such as appointing heirs).
Other major mechanics include kingdom management and diplomatic relations with our neighbors. We can also create characters and send them out adventuring in a vast, fantasy world; though we must equip them first.
Technical aspects
The Elder Scrolls: Castles features simple, though colorful cartoonish visuals.
