High Televison (also known as HiTV) is Entertainment Highway's multi-channel digital satellite TV service in Nigeria, launched in 2006. In Nigeria, mainly Lagos State with availability to other states promised by August 2007, it uses /M/D/S/ Hypercable® Digital Terrestrial technology (to which it has exclusive rights) and Direct to Home (DTH) Satellite technology, to provide digital transmission with world class clarity and picture quality.
HiTV broadcasts its material on both cable and satellite and is able to provide it at an affordable price of just N4,000($31.73) monthly.It is the first television platform in Africa to deploy the new terrestrial pay per view decoder system technology known as the MMDS Hypercable. It makes pay TV viewing cheaper.
