Welcome.
Glad you are here!
He's hoping you'll join him.
When I asked my dad how to program BASIC, he got me started on MATLAB. In high-school, I used MATLAB to write a 3-D maze program. It probably would have worked better if I had listened to Dad's advice about z-buffering... In grad-school, I got involved in computer vision and have been hooked ever since. Hardware and software both facinate me, and I'm interested in figuring out how we can make them better.
When I'm not on campus or walking the streets of Milwaukee with my wife, Miriam, you might catch me zipping by on a racing bike. Board games and music are other things I get caught in occassionally.
