Jennifer E Ivey

Jennifer Ivey is a Cincinnati, OH native and an Atlanta transplant. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Design, she then furthered her education in aesthetics at the International School of Skin, Nail Care and Massage Therapy. Ms. Ivey moved to Atlanta and began her journey as a make up artist in print, commercial, fashion, theater and television, working frequently with the Atlanta Opera, the Atlanta Ballet, and as a local artist to touring theatrical productions with I.A.T.S.E. local #798. It was with this affiliation that she became acquainted with "The Lion King" Gazelle Touring Company. She was asked to join the touring company as an assistant make up artist in 2004. Her focus, professionalism, dedication and work ethic was rewarded when she was promoted to Hair and Makeup Supervisor in 2009. For more than a decade, Ms. Ivey toured the country maintaining the standard of excellence in theatrical makeup for one of the most recognized theatrical stage productions in the world. One of her greatest honors was preparing the cast for the annual Kid's State Dinner hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama in 2015. Since the closing of the Gazelle touring company, Ms. Ivey has returned to Atlanta where she is a much sought-after makeup artist.
