Alan Morrissey was born on October 9th 1982. His was not only a home
birth but a pub birth as he came into the world at the Golden Buck inn
in Stockport,Greater Manchester,where his parents were licensees. Alan
studied drama at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School,graduating in
2004,and subsequently appeared in the company's version of 'Salad
Days'. Since then he has obtained wide theatrical experience with the
Royal Shakespeare Company,Paines Plough,Hull Truck Company and Bolton
Octagon as well as playing Romeo at the Globe Theatre. Since 2007 he
has been a member of the Factory,a London based stage collective whose
members offer each other mutual criticism and advice. On television he
played nurse Nicky Van Barr in medical drama 'Holby City'.
