Named one of Canada's Rising Stars by The Hollywood Reporter in 2017, Hamza Haq stars as Bashir "Bash" Hamed in CTV medical drama TRANSPLANT for which he earned three consecutive Canadian Screen Awards wins for Best Lead Actor (2021-2023). The series, a 2021 Canadian Screen Award winner for Best Drama series, centers around an ER doctor who fled his native Syria to come to Canada where he must overcome numerous obstacles to resume a career in the high stakes world of emergency medicine.
On the big screen, he starred in Fawzia Mirza's QUEEN OF MY DREAMS opposite Amrit Kaur as well as in WITH LOVE AND A MAJOR ORGAN directed by Kim Albright, both films having had their premiere at SXSW. He appears in the French Canadian hit VIKING that premiered at TIFF and opposite Margaret Qualley in the MY SALINGER YEAR which opened the 70th Berlin International Film Festival in February 2020. He also holds supporting roles in BON COP BAD COP 2 with Colm Feore, THE DEATH AND LIFE OF JOHN F. DONOVAN directed by Xavier Dolan, Darren Aronofsky's MOTHER! and DELIA's GONE opposite Stephan James and Marisa Tomei.
In 2023 Hamza starred in critically acclaimed Saudi Arabian Netflix hit CRASHING EID. He also appeared alongside William Shatner and Russell Peters as twins Amal and Gopal in the Netflix mini-series INDIAN DETECTIVE, and earned further acclaim with a 2018 Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Guest Performance for his role as Raza Ali in the CBC drama THIS LIFE. Other notable credits include recurring roles on the Cinemax series JETT opposite Carla Gugino, QUANTICO starring Priyanka Chopra, and THE ART OF MORE with Denis Quaid and Kate Bosworth. Additional television credits include DESIGNATED SURVIVOR, THE BOLD TYPE, BEING HUMAN, and BEST LAID PLANS. He hosted two seasons of the International Emmy® Award nominated children's series LOOK KOOL and played Brampton police officer Jassie in the CBC Gem digital original drama THE 410.
In 2020, Hamza was honoured as Playback's Breakout Star of the Year, and was a recipient of RBC'stop 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards. He spoke at TEDxTORONTO Fall digital event series 'Uncharted' using his public platform to speak on issues important to him, including refugees' rights, racial injustice, and combating stereotypes, and has partnered with the Canada Media Fund's MADE/NOUS initiative as ambassador for Islamic History Month in October, as well as their 'Seek More' campaign in Spring 2021. Through his work on Transplant, he has become a loyal advocate for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Ahd Hassan Kamel is an award winning actress and filmmaker from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She is best-known for her role as Fatima in the 2018 BBC2 /Netflix series, Collateral. and her starring role in the 2014 BAFTA-nominated film, Wadjda.
Ahd grew up in Saudi Arabia and moved to New York City in 1998. She received a BFA in Animation & Communication from Parsons School of Design in 2014 and a Directing degree from the New York Film Academy in 2015. Ahd then went on to study Acting under the personal tutelage of William Esper at the William Esper Studio.
Ahd has written, directed and acted in her two award-winning short films, The Shoemaker 'Al-Qondorji' (2009) and Sanctity 'Hurma' (2012). Sarah Taibah is an artist and filmmaker, from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She is the creator, writer and lead in the successful dark comedy series "Jameel Jiddan. She also wrote and acted in the anthology Pan-Arab series "Nemra Etnen" along with the biggest names in the SWANA region. Sarah co-wrote the film "Hwjn" that was based on the best selling novel HWJN, and the film opened Red Sea International Film Festival in its 3rd edition. She also starred in " Mandoob El Lail", which had its world premier at Toronto International Film Festival and Arab premiere in the Red Sea International Film Festival, end of 2023. She is currently working on her new comedy series with an international platform, as the creator, writer and star of the show.
Sarah also starred in "Rollem" the first Saudi film that got screened in Saudi theaters when it first opened in 2018. Sarah acted in several films; both features and shorts such as "VHS tape replaced" that went to 10 festivals in less than a year. She also appeared as a special guest in Ramadan's successful series " Sikkat Safar".
Aside from filmmaking, Sarah got her masters of fine art from Academy of Art university in San Francisco. Ibrahim Nash'at is a multi-award-winning Egyptian documentary filmmaker based in Berlin, Germany. His career in journalism spans various formats, working with several international channels and online platforms such as Deutsche Welle, Al Jazeera, Business Insider, AJ+, Voice of America and others. Ibrahim holds a master degree in documentary filmmaking from Met Film School. He co-edited Talal Derki's latest film "Under the Sky of Damascus" Which premiered at Panorama - Berlinale 2023 and won the Golden Alexander at 25th Thessaloniki Doc Festival. Mariam Khayat is an animation writer and producer. She holds an MFA degree in Animation and Digital Arts from the University of Southern California. In 2016, Mariam co-founded Cinepoetics Pictures, a film production studio, where she produces animation films and shows.
