Having served as writer, producer or star in numerous film and television projects for nearly twenty years, Allie Raye's colleagues find it hard to imagine the award-winning artist not standing among giants some day.
After honing her skills for seven years as a stand-up comedienne on the East Coast, Allie made the move to Los Angeles to further pursue her dreams of acting, producing and writing in the film and television industry.
2002 was a banner year for Allie the actress. She performed alongside Tom Cruise in the box office hit "Minority Report" (in a role written specifically for her after Steven Spielberg saw her audition tape) and Eric Stoltz directed her in an episode of Once and Again. Like Spielberg, Stoltz created additional scenes for Allie after observing her work.
She continued with guest appearances on numerous TV hits including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Emmy-winning The Practice and TV's long-running hit, ER. Allie has been featured in three hot music videos: Jeff Foxworthy's "You Might Be A Redneck If" (directed by Weird Al Yankovic) and Scott Grimes' "Sunset Blvd." She re-teamed with Weird Al for his "Amish Paradise."
Allie's numerous credits as multi-tasking artisan include producing, writing and starring in "Purple Rose", the award-winning musical "A Perfect Life" and "Charity", which she co-wrote with actor Douglas Spain (who also directed). Additional festival favorites include the spoofs "Jewz N the Hood" and "Queer Eye for the Homeless Guy" (with Paul Sand).
Allie guest-starred as Carlos Mencia's redneck wife on Comedy Central's hit "Mind of Mencia" and on the big screen, in "Domino" with Oscar nominees Kiera Knightley and Mickey Rourke (directed by Tony Scott) and the Indy film "Carts" with TV veteran Ted Lange and her "Charity" collaborator, Douglas Spain.
Allie is a series regular in the popular web series "Featherweight."- Jerry Holmes was born on 14 February 1935 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, USA. He was an actor, known for Shannon (1961). He died in August 1994 in New York, USA.

Born to vaudeville performers, Tommy Hanlon Jr. was taken into his mother and father's act at age 4 and kept performing for the rest of his life. After two years with the Orson Welles Mercury Theatre in Los Angeles in the 1940s, and appearing on stage alongside W.C. Fields, he came to Australia in the early days of television in the late 1950s and first appeared as a comedian with the popular In Melbourne Tonight. As the program became The Graham Kennedy Show, Hanlon devised his trademark, comic Letter From Mom segment. So popular did Hanlon become that the Nine Network signed him to host the network's first national daytime show, It Could Be You, which launched in 1960 and became a ratings hit with its surprise reunions of long-separated relatives and friends. It Could be You was the highest rating daytime TV show ever in Australia, so it came as a shock to many when Hanlon quit TV in 1978 to concentrate on his other great love, the circus.
He toured Australia until 2001 with Silvers Circus. He was married twice. His first marriage ended in divorce; the couple's son, Tommy, went on to invent a vertical take-off aircraft and became vice-president of Bell Helicopters. He met his second wife Muriel - whom he always called "Murphy" - while entertaining US troops in Korea. She died in 1990. He is survived by his daughter April, son Tommy, four grandsons and a great grand-daughter.- Jered Holmes was born on 15 February 1934 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, USA.
