- Badshah Babar arrives in India from Iran, drives out Ibrahim Lodhi, makes peace with the Hindus and rules Delhi. He also adopts Rajkumari as his daughter and treats like his very own child, even though he has two sons, Humayun and Kamran, and a daughter, Gulbadan. Babar also finds out that Rajkumari is soon to be married to Randhir, the Rajkumar of Chanderi, who is out to avenge the conquest of his native land, by killing Humayun. Before that could happen Humayun falls seriously ill, Babar prays for his survival, but himself becomes ill and passes away, leaving Humayun to recuperate and be crowned the next Badshah. Humayun meets Hamida Bano and both fall in love with each other so much so that he loses all interest in the running of the state. When Delhi is attacked by Jai Singh, Kamran and Khan Bahadur join in the attack, forcing Hamida to flee. Humayun fends off the attackers, but must re-route his armies when Rajkumari is taken hostage. He does manage to rescue her, make amends with Randhir, but loses Delhi to his opponents, and flees to his native Iran. This is where he will meet and marry Hamida, and both will become parents of Shahenshah of all Shahenshah's, Jalaludin Akbar. But before that Humayun must take back his kingdom, and in order to do this he must first take Kabul, then Lahore, and then Agra and finally, if he manages to survive, Delhi.

- 1817. Sharpe has retired from the army but is summoned by the Duke of Wellington for an important mission. An agent in India has gone missing while trying to track down a traitorous British officer. That agent is Patrick Harper.
- The teams start off at the Taj Mahal and must find the next route marker, located somewhere on the grounds of the palace. Frank and Margarita are the first to leave because of their fast forward pass from the last leg. Bill and Joe are the next to depart from the pit stop. Frank and Margarita are the first to find the route marker and now must find a yellow and white flag at Palace of the Winds in Jaipur. They must either take a taxi or a bus. Rob and Brennan are the first to arrive at the Palace. The clue is a Detour, in both they have to find a Holy Man by either riding an elephant up a hill or going by boat. Once they retrieve the clue from the Holy Man, they must head to Karni Mata Temple in Deshnoke and from there to Bikaner, a place where rats are considered sacred. Teams well have to get to the Temple of Rats in Bikaner where in a road block, one team member must walk though the temple of rats to retrieve the next clue. Margarita, Brennan, Kevin and Emily perform this task. From here they head to the pit stop at a hotel. Joe/Bill and Nancy/Emily arrive a few minutes apart. Nancy and Emily are the last to arrive but this is the second of three non-elimination points in the race. However,Phil tells us that someone will be eliminated in the next leg.
- The seven teams travel from Novosibirsk, Russia to Jaipur, India. As the race heats up, one team faces a Speed Bump the size of an elephant. They all encounter a Road Block made of camel feed, and a Detour that is made more complicated for one team by an impatient taxi driver.
- The six remaining teams travel from Jaipur, India to Phuket, Thailand. A shop keeper hinders the movement of one team, while others who started the task after them complete it quicker. They find that time is not of the essence, while other teams find that a hurried pace doesn't translate to a victory, especially when one team makes mistakes for which they incur time penalties.
