Ariane, a young surgeon, has been a patient of psychoanalyst Philippe Dayan for a year. After the terrorist attacks, she found herself on the front line at the hospital, and had a nightmarish weekend. Yet that isn't why she's here today.
Dayan welcomes a new patient: Adel Chibane, a policeman with the elite Intervention Squad. Adel was part of the team that entered the Bataclan the evening of 13th November. Since then he's had stress-related symptoms he cannot explain.
Camille, a champion swimmer training for the Olympics, who has both arms in plaster following a cycling accident. Her insurance company is demanding a psychological assessment certifying that she did not deliberately cause the accident.
Léonora has recently become pregnant after the couple decided to give up trying for a second child. The crisis they're now going through seems insurmountable. They expect Dayan to help them reach a decision regarding the baby.
Dayan rings the doorbell of Esther's practice. She's an old friend and the widow of his monitor. Esther has been Dayan's analyst too, but he hasn't seen her since he walked out in the middle of a session, slamming the door.
After much hesitation, Ariane has finally agreed to marry her partner, Cédric. Dayan, who can't help but be disturbed by this, invites her to examine the reasons for her sudden about-turn.
