There are several scenes with Briggs shirtless and has his back to the camera. The first is when the two ladies are hugging him. They discover a wide battle scar on his upper right side. In subsequent shirtless scenes the battle scar is not present.
After calming down Lulu during the 21-gun salute, Briggs is kneeling and begins saluting as he rises. When seen standing behind the officer by the casket, Briggs finishes standing then salutes.
Military dogs are not trained in English. they are trained either in Dutch or German. Briggs would have known which language and what the commands were.
The entrance to Fort Lewis is one lane only, and has a lot of trees around it. Therefore, the shots of a wide open sky with no trees is nearly impossible to shoot at the angles provided and the Captain couldn't have pulled up beside Briggs. In addition, the gate guards would require all military and civilians have their IDs checked at the gate, which the MP failed to do.
White Sands Missile Range is not manned by Army Military Police, but by Air Force Security Forces. Even if White Sands Missile Range was temporarily manned by Army Military Police, the patch on the left shoulder would match the unit stationed at Fort Bliss, TX, which is the 89th MP Brigade. The patch displayed in the movie belongs to the 16th MP Brigade out of Fort Bragg, NC.
The MP at Joint Base Lewis-McChord had the Velcro patch with "MP" (MP device) on the right sleeve under the American flag patch. The MP device is worn on the left sleeve.
When Briggs is leaving Los Angeles, the highway sign has distances in kilometers not miles.
Briggs did not stop at the stop sign clearly seen out the windshield in San Francisco while driving to the hotel. As the car went up the street, the painted STOP could clearly be seen on the roadway out the back window.
When Briggs is in the police station handcuffed to the bench, one of the links in the handcuff chain is broken.
Channing Tatum's character is supposedly rushing from Portland to Arizona. Therefore he would never drive along the coast; that route adds between three and eight hours to his trip, depending on how many miles he drove along the coast. There's also no reason to drive to San Francisco when traveling from Portland to Nogales; San Francisco is many miles completely out of his way.
At the beginning of their road trip, they stop at 'Oak Tree Gun Club,' that is an actual place just north of Los Angeles city but still within LA county, between LA and Santa Clarita. This could not have been their first stop.
