On the plains to the west of the city of Whiterun, the player can find a skeletal hand sticking out from one of the many scattered ponds holding a sword aloft, a reference to the legend of King Arthur and Excalibur.
The guards will often say "Let me guess, somebody stole your sweetroll" to the player. 'The Stolen Sweetroll' has been a running gag throughout Bethesda Softworks' games since The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (2002).
If you go the the Blue Palace then turn into the first door on the left, there is a wall by the chair. If you shout through it with a plate, you can enter a room that has a chest.
Rarely, at night from 10 PM to 4 AM, while on one of the roads, you may see a glowing, moving shape running towards you, it is the Ragnar the Red, if you follow him, he will stop at a tomb called Hamvir's Rest and you can see him resting by his tomb during the day where you can see a skull and helmet on it which might be his.
When you kill a dragon, quickly open the map. The burning animation is on it.
