When the movie started, Mr Church was in the kitchen picking up a cigarette which was resting on the ash tray, the cigarette was almost smoked with the paper white bit half the size of the yellow filter. Then the shot was on Mr Church's face with him with the cigarette in his mouth, the cigarette has grow longer by this time with the paper white bit twice the size of the filter.
A hand model's hand was visibly used in the shot where Charlie is seated on a bench browsing a magazine. Charlie can be seen browsing the magazine with full view of her hands, yet after Eddie comments "Sure", it cuts to another woman's hands resting on the page.
When Mr. Church gives Charlie the envelope of cash, Andrew Jackson's picture appears to be on the $50 bills. Jackson is on the $20, it should have been Ulysses S. Grant for the $50 bill.
On Charlie's library card, "A Tale of Two Cities" (Dickens) is written incorrectly as "The Tale of Two Cities."
When the bottle of tomato sauce is dropped in the kitchen, one sees a pile of sauce with broken fragments of the bottle. When Church helps Charlie to her mom, one sees a large area of the floor covered in broken glass of consistent size and spacing, without sauce.
When Mr. Church goes to the grocery store for the first time. He picks up a bottle of Oil that is clearly empty.
While learning to drive the VW for the first time, the song "Fantasy" by Earth Wind and Fire is playing. The year of the scene is 1977 however, the song did not debut until 1978.
As Charlie and her mother are walking down the sidewalk, modern day cars are visible passing behind them.
When Charlie goes out with Owen, a modern trolley-bus can be seen passing in the distance.
When Charlie is driving away after Mr Church has kicked her out, she passes a 60 mph speed limit sign. During the time frame of this movie, the national speed limit was limited to 55 mph.
In one of the street scenes in the beginning, they show a Ford Granada in the background, which wasn't introduced until 1975.
The camera's shadow falls behind Charlie, when she encounters Larson outside the supermarket.
