Trivia[]
- In this series, Popeye always has a Bosun's whistle in his mouth instead of his traditional pipe, so as to avoid any depiction of tobacco smoking.
- When Popeye eats his spinach, the power-up animation is similar to the one in The All-New Popeye Hour.
- Popeye has blond hair.
- Bluto is also younger-looking, and beardless.
- Eugene the Jeep usually floats in the air, which is not an ability that was among his original powers. However, he did float around in the animation test for the as-yet unreleased Popeye film, presented a few years before the release of Island Adventures.
- Unlike in previous media, the characters only make sounds instead of talking.
