- -Montreal (in Canada), 1954. There is a rumor that a black market selling illegitimate babies would exist in Quebec. A special squad is formed and quickly, Edgar McCoy and his team discover a clandestine organization that sells newborns and whose ramifications extend to the United States. At the same time, in Tadoussac, the life of the young Gabrielle Hébert tilts when she gets pregnant without being married. She goes into exile in Montreal where she finds refuge at the Redemption Hospital. Driven by the desire to find her lover and especially to keep her child, Gabrielle flees the establishment and finds herself in the midst of a large-scale police investigation that will expose this odious traffic. This series is freely inspired by real events. In the 1950s, more than a thousand babies were sold in a black market of newborns between New York and Montreal. Wealthy Americans were willing to pay up to $ 15,000 to buy a child. Private clinics in the metropolis "found" the children in question and even procured them false papers to legalize the adoption. The events that inspired the series will be the subject of a documentary broadcast on the Historia channel.

- Produced by Avanti Groupe (On call 24/7 and 180 days), Police en service plunges us into the heart of the daily life of police officers. Unlike other series of the same genre, we follow not only patrolled, but also investigators, sergeants, lieutenants and civilians working in various sectors: family crimes unit, unit for sexual exploitation of minors , judicial identity, sexual assault unit, canine unit, 911, integrated anti-pimping team and youth intervention section. By their side, we perceive the different sides of the profession, but we especially discover men and women who have their profession at heart and who want to make its many facets known. In eight 45-minute episodes, the new series directed by Catherine Proulx (who is part of the production team of De grade 24/7 and who directed the documentary and podcast Trafic) puts humans on the screen. She explores the relationships between brothers and sisters, but also between police officers and citizens. Police en service takes care to present the social issues facing police officers, including mental health, which occupies an enormous and ever-increasing place in their daily lives. The series serves to demystify their profession and aims to make people understand what it means for a man or a woman to be a police officer by showing both their will and their vulnerability, but above all, their commitment. "When I studied police technology, I thought I was going to arrest criminals," says Guillaume Collin, an agent assigned to the patrol at the SPVQ, in the series. "That I was going to spend shift after shift with citizens with mental health issues, I never thought that. The police have evolved. We have gone elsewhere; these people are taken care of a lot. When the family has given up, they no longer have a friend, no one to take care of them, who is still there? The police. " "These men and women who choose to become peace officers do so to be directly at the service of citizens in a world where social issues tend to become more and more complex. Like doctors, elected officials, teachers and so many others, they choose to invest body, mind and heart in this demanding but equally rewarding vocation. Season after season, Télé-Québec pursues its mission of reflecting today's Quebec: this new series fits directly into this avenue, "said Richard Haddad, Executive Director of Content at Télé-Québec.
