Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the final card before Wrestlemania, so let’s see if Vince even watches Nxt (probably not).
Match #1: War Raiders def. local competitors The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Before defending their titles against Aleister Black & Ricochet at TakeOver: New York, Nxt Tag Team Champions The War Raiders pre-gamed with a set of stretch drills. Of course, the “stretch drills” in this case were at the expense of the opponents who had the unfortunate task of squaring up against them in the ring. To send a message ahead of TakeOver, Hanson & Rowe unloaded their domineering might on a pair of locals, who were trounced within a matter of seconds.
My Take: 1 out of 5 – This sucked. Why would I want to watch these guys work squashes when they can actually wrestle?
Match #2: War Raiders def.

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have item number 121, the so-called “Red Violin”. Ba da da da, ba da da da, da da da. Also, I think we might have a match or two worth talking about (Dusty Rhodes Classic finals), so let’s see what all the noise is about.
Match #1: Kacy Catanzaro & Lacey Lane vs. Aliyah & Vanessa Borne The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The much-anticipated Nxt TV debut of Mae Young Classic alumnae Kacy Catanzaro & Lacey Lane, against the aggressive combination of Aliyah & Vanessa Borne, ended in painful fashion for the newcomers, thanks to Nxt Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler. Flanked by Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir, The Queen of Spades barged in as The Vision and her bougie teammate were doing a number on Lane, before Catanzaro even tagged into the match. Having witnessed...

Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and there’s some good stuff on this bad ol’ puppy dog, so let’s get to the good stuff.
Match #1: Aleister Black def. Roderick Strong The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
In the battle of blistering kicks and spine-wrecking backbreakers, Aleister Black and Roderick Strong elicited plenty of “oohs” and “ahhs” from the Full Sail Live crowd this week. The hard-hitting encounter saw both Superstars plaster each other with dizzying offense. The Messiah of the Backbreaker lived up to his moniker, tattooing the back of The Dutch Destroyer with a thunderous backdrop atop the steel rings steps. Strong continued the onslaught inside the yellow ropes, steeping Black’s back with punishing submission holds and, yes, more backbreakers. As if the backdrop over the steel steps hadn’t already caused damage, Strong...

Welcome to this week’s Mae Young Classic review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a pretty good main event. Are you excited yet? How about this? It’s !@#$%&! awesome! There… we’re good to go.
Match #1: Meiko Satomura def. Lacey Lane in a Quarterfinal Match The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Lacey Lane won’t bust any more brackets in this year’s Mae Young Classic. The Nxt up-and-comer, who shocked many observers with her spectacular Cinderella run into the Quarterfinals, met her match in Meiko Satomura. Despite Satomura’s immense advantage in experience, Lane showed no deference to the Japanese icon and rejected a mid-match handshake, a decision that Satomura instantly made Lane regret by cutting her down with a devastating kick. With her hometown supporters cheering her on, Lane rebounded to score a near-fall off a top-rope crossbody block. Satomura...

Match #1: Toni Storm def. Hiroyo Matsumoto in a Second-Round Match The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Toni Storm was in a state of disbelief after pinning Hiroyo Matsumoto in the first match of the Second Round. After all, Lady Godzilla clobbered The Lightning Down Under with everything she had throughout the match. Although the tenacious Storm returned fire, breaking Matsumoto’s momentum from time to time with a snap-suplex here or a headbutt there, she couldn’t string together more than a few moves before Matsumoto regained control. Matsumoto even thrashed Storm with her devastating Rock Drop signature move, but Storm’s ring awareness saved the day, as she draped her foot over the bottom rope to break the pinfall. The Australian Superstar eventually cinched the victory...

Welcome to this week’s Mae Young Classic review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I just heard some stupid song called Baby Shark and I wonder if Bill Cosby will get to sing that in prison… while in the shower? Gotta pick up the soa… Buggggaaaaahhhhhhh!
Match #1: Hiroyo Matsumoto def. Rachel Evers in a First-Round Match The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
“Lady Godzilla” Hiroyo Matsumoto got off to a monstrous start in the Mae Young Classic, downing returning tournament competitor Rachel Evers in an intensely physical First-Round Match. Evers put up a valiant fight, withstanding Matsumoto’s high-octane offense and a persistent attack on Evers’ ribs. The Queen of Strong Style strung together her own powerful series of moves, including a senton splash that no doubt put a smile on the face of Evers’ boyfriend, Kassius Ohno, watching at ringside. The battle soon turned into a slugfest.

Welcome to this edition of WWE Week In Review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a few things to cover, so let’s do so.
Worst Promo:
The Jinder Mahal/Bobby Lashley promo was bad, but not because either man was bad in it. The promo itself was constructed badly, but since Lashley was able to do a good job, it wasn’t so bad.
Best Promo:
The Shawn Michaels/Undertaker promo was great and had all of the intricacies that Michaels became known for when he returned in 2002.
Worst Moment:
Bobby Roode is stuck in the tag team division with a great athlete in Chad Gable. This team could work, but Roode should be fighting for the Universal Title right now, not doing tag work.
Best Moment:
Drake Maverick became the new manager for the Author of Pain. The Aop needed a manager and...

Match #1: Tegan Nox def. Zatara in a First-Round Match The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
The 2018 Mae Young Classic has gotten off to a very shiny start for Tegan Nox. Back from a torn Acl and competing for the first time on WWE Network, the Welsh Superstar rose to victory against tough-as-nails Chilean competitor Zatara in a fast-paced collision. The masked luchadora ruthlessly targeted Nox’s surgically repaired leg, even applying a wrenching deathlock that twisted Nox’s limbs like a pretzel. The Girl with the Shiniest Wizard wouldn’t stay down, however, and after avoiding Zatara’s attempted back splash, Nox clobbered Zatara with the Shining Wizard leaping knee strike to guarantee passage into the Second Round,...
