When Monty Rushmore is shot, he grabs his left side, just over his hip. Later, there is a bloody bandage on his left shoulder.

During the fight scene between Oklahoma Daredevil Roy Budnitz (Meat Loaf) and the only running car left (Camaro) the wheels change shot to shot, from high-end honeycomb alloy wheels to basic steel rally wheels.

The movie mentions that people all over the country were watching the telethon, including people from the first gay state, North Dakota. We then see a picture of Mount Rushmore which is in South Dakota
