Jon Lindstrom is watching his "World" come to an end.
An afternoon-serial star for most of the past 16 years, Lindstrom has scored his first Daytime Emmy nomination ever ... just as his current program is wrapping up its 54-year run. He'll finish taping his work as Craig Montgomery on CBS' "As the World Turns" a few days before the 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are handed out in Las Vegas during a CBS telecast Sunday, June 27.
"It feels better than I thought it would," Lindstrom tells Zap2it of being a nominee for outstanding lead actor, "especially while watching our show go away. You never know if this is going to happen again, so I'm going to act as if this is the one-and-only time. And I'm gonna party like a rock star!"
Lindstrom admits to mixed emotions over his Daytime Emmy bid for a job destined to end soon.
