Dangerfield Undergoes Heart Surgery
American funnyman Rodney Dangerfield entered a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday in preparation for heart valve replacement surgery. The ailing Caddyshack star, 82, underwent brain surgery last year to reduce the chances of having a stroke during the operation today. Before entering the hospital, Dangerfield said, "If things go right, I'll be there about a week, and if things don't go right, I'll be there about an hour and a half." Back to School star Dangerfield most recently appeared in the direct-to-video film The 4th Tenor, which he co-wrote in 2002.
