Yahoo Finance has its first creator partnership: It’s tapped former Wall Street analyst and associate turned digital content creator Ross Mac to join its new “premium experience” as a contributor.
That “premium experience,” announced this morning, includes exclusive video series, podcasts (including a partnership with long-running business podcast Morning Brew), and news articles, plus data on stocks and financial analysis tools. Some of it is free to access (with an account), but there are also paid subscription tiers.
And, of course, it’s also adding content creators, with the goal of “supplementing its talent line up with rising star creators,” Yahoo said.
“The combination of traditional journalists and creators is unique in the financial space and will start with the creator of the Maconomics brand, Ross Mac, who will contribute to on-air segments, explainer videos, and more,” the company added.

How to Get Rich is a new American Netflix documentary series starring Ramit Sethi.
Remember the documentary Get Smart with Money? Well, it was a hit, at least with audiences. Now comes this sort of sequel, in the form of a series and way wittier.
Its name, not very subtle, How to Get Rich. It consists of eight episodes in the form of a reality show, but this time with financial advice on how to get a little more out of your money in a coherent way. Of course, it is specially designed to match the flavor of the American audience.
Will you get rich watching this docuseries? More than likely not, but it’s full of good advice along the lines of “don’t spend more than you make” (duh…) and the like. Good production, obvious about marketing (showing luxury cars and such) and all the bling-bling that comes with it.

Between rising interest rates, failing banks, a crypto winter and a stock market that is vacillating between bullish and bearish on a seemingly daily basis, money is top of mind for almost everyone these days.
Enter Netflix, which will release a new unscripted series next month seemingly made for this moment, taking a Marie Kondo approach to money.
Called How To Get Rich, the series will see author and financial adviser Ramit Sethi travel the country helping people master their finances. The show will debut its 8 episodes on Netflix on April 18. Yes, that’s Tax Day here in the U.S., a day when money will likely be top of mind for many people.
The series, based on Sethi’s 2009 book I Will Teach You To Be Rich, is from Studio Lambert, the producer of Undercover Boss and The Circle.

Netflix Teams With Part2 Pictures and Atlas Films for Documentary ‘Get Smart With Money’ (Exclusive)
“Fed Up” director Stephanie Soechtig has teamed up with Part2 Pictures, in association with Atlas Films, to direct the Netflix documentary “Get Smart With Money.”
The personal finance documentary follows several individuals from different socioeconomic backgrounds as they examine their spending habits and, with the help of four financial coaches, figure out their financial goals and ways to improve their money mindset. The four coaches include Peter Adeney (aka Mr. Money Mustache), Tiffany Aliche (aka The Budgetnista), Ross MacDonald (aka Ro Mac) and Paula Pant of Afford Anything.
In a statement, Soechtig said: ”Somehow we have ended up with an education system that teaches us the fundamentals of square dancing, yet fails to teach us the fundamentals about how to manage our money. As a result, most of us are left bewildered when it comes to budgeting or investing – I know I was! While we are calling this a ‘money...
