A light-hearted and lovable character animation series for Sci-fi UK channel
Geek boy is a character and animation series produced by onedotzero for Sci-fi UK channel. He is endearing, enchanting and most of all really geeky about science.
onedotzero was asked to develop and produce a unique character, its branding and an entire animated series for sci-fi UK channel, which promoted science education in a fun and innovative way.
Sci-fi UK channel approached onedotzero to develop geek boy from conception through to finished execution. A talented team of leading creatives was cherry picked from sound and animation to production and character design. Character designer and illustrator Jake was given full support from unit9 and onedotzero to direct the series.
The result was a series of four 1 minute animations. Each episode was scheduled to sit prior to sci-fi’s ‘movie at 10’ program to gain maximum coverage. Geek boy was selected for numerous international film festivals and was loved by all.
