iOS 5, codenamed "Telluride", was the 5th major release of iOS designed and distributed by Apple for supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models. It was announced on June 6 at WWDC 2011 alongside Mac OS X Lion.[1] It was released to the general public on October 12, 2011.[2]
