Hello! I have a special request. A that you have deleted in 2010 had been loaded on purpose to a it.wikipedia article, an article which now proved to be a hoax. This entry was created by an IP, but I imagine that the image is loaded by a registered user, and I was wondering if you could know who he was, so that they can be to ask explanations. Thanks in advance.--<span style="color:#E68E09;">Midnight</span> <span style="color:#1E6083;">bird</span> 21:17, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

As this is a multilingual project, you are free to post questions or comments in any possible language. However, please take this points into account when using a language:

 • Questions in Dutch and English will be answered in Dutch or English.
 • Questions in French may be asked, but if I don't understand it, I will make use of the infamous Google Translate Tool, thus some nuances might get lost. I will reply in English.
 • Questions in any other language (be it German, Klingon or Valarin) will be channelled through the infamous Google Translate Tool, and thus I will only grasp the most obvious remarks and miserably fail to see any of the nuances in your comment. I will reply in English.
 • Important: I read everything you post here, but it can take some time before you get a reply.
 • Archives are here, here, here, here, here and here.

Catholic church in Herceg Novi

Good evening. You've deleted the file Catholic church in Herceg Novi, claiming that this photo lacked the necessary permission. The site where it was taken from, montenegrophoto.net, informs that it contains Free public domain photos of Montenegro - it's visible in the site header. What's wrong about the file then? Regards, Loraine (talk) 21:02, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
I'm sorry, I must have missed that information. Probably too obvious ;). I have restored the file.
Kind regards, Kameraad Pjotr 21:46, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
File:Muziekinstrumentenmuseum (Old England), Brussel.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hertingfordbury_Station.jpg

If you are going to delete a photo from Wikimedia you could at least take the trouble to consult the person who uploaded it in the first place. I had full authorisation from the photographer. Please send me an email address to which I can forward that authorisation. Happy Christmas. Roundtheworld (talk) 16:41, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,
You'll have to forward the permission to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org . See here for more information.
A very happy christmans!

A script in your user namespace may stop working in February 2012

Hi Kameraad Pjotr, I found the deprecated function akeytt somewhere in your user-namespace, e.g. User:Kameraad Pjotr/monobook.js/test.js . It is likely that this will cause JavaScript errors after Commons is updated to MediaWiki 1.19 in February. You can simply remove this function-call as it currently does nothing. If you have a copy of user-messages in your script, you may remove it and instead activate User Messages in your preferences. Please also note that addLink is now natively supported by mw.util.addPortletLink. Thank you. -- RE rillke questions? 10:21, 11 January 2012 (UTC) -- RE rillke questions? 10:21, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
