Good job on that file -- in the past, we've had people who have unfortunately done requested conversions to SVG in a stupid way, but you think them through. However, don't include :Category:Generated by PostScript |
|||
and :Category:Images including source code in their description on the image description page if they're not relevant... AnonMoos (<span class="signature-talk">talk</span>) 20:06, 21 January 2010 (UTC) |

: Ooops, yes, the categories were added automaticly, while i used the "derivativeFX"-tool to upload this file. I didn't checked these, because commonly a derivative work belongs to the same categories like the original. I'll be more careful next time. --McSush (<span class="signature-talk">talk</span>) 02:01, 22 January 2010 (UTC) |

if you want to talk ...
de.wikipedia.org or here
The SVG coding on that image is extremely clever, but it might be even better if it was transparent (without the opaque white background)... AnonMoos (talk) 14:26, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your praise! - I exchanged it against a transparent version. --McSush (talk) 21:13, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
svg images of signatures
I, Tomasz W. Kozłowski, hereby award you, McSush, the Tireless Contributor Barnstar for your extremely hard work on vector versions of signatures. Thank you for your contributions & keep up the good work! odder (talk) 01:41, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
- I second that motion. Thanks!--Blargh29 (talk) 07:59, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Seconded. Thanks for the code cleanup performed on my signature images. Connormah (talk) 00:59, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
graphic lab: signatures into svg
I notice that you've been working on tracing signatures into SVG files. I was wondering if you'd be interested in taking a look at a recent Graphic Lab request that I just submitted: Commons:Graphic Lab/Illustration workshop#Pennsylvania political signatures. Thank you, --Blargh29 (talk) 03:10, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
- well ... ok :) --McSush (talk) 01:45, 11 February 2010 (UTC)
Simplifying the two-reflector drawing to a single reflector is a fine improvement but I find it confusing to have the absorber tube outside and behind the reflector. I think we should go back to the old drawing until this is clarified. Jojalozzo (talk) 16:45, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
- i wondering no one else has seen this mistake before. it wasn't my intention to simplify the image. i just had forgotten the second row of reflectors. - but now: corrected. thank you, that you brought my attention to this. McSush (talk) 02:02, 17 March 2010 (UTC)
great arms of congress poland
Thank you very much for solving my problem. I didn't realise that the Inkscape had such function. I use "copy" a lot, so "clone" will be very useful. Best regards Avalokitesvara (talk) 14:44, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
singapore flag
http://mystory.sg/content/1564 and books published by the Singapore Government in 2001 stated that the Pantone color must be Pantone 032 for the red. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 05:15, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

seal of ohio
I'd like to thank you very much for your work on an SVG of the Ohio Seal, I really appreciate it, danke! Fry1989 (talk) 03:50, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- I found a EPS file at http://www.seeklogo.com/state-of-ohio-logo-131908.html if that helps. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 04:06, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- @ Fry1989: always at your service! :)
- @ Zscout370: this version you've found was made 1847 - my drawing rests upon the official version of 1996. but thanks for your effort. McSush (talk) 14:29, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- It looks like the 1996 version, but just needs some color. I know the state also put their seal drawing online, but it is not a true vector file, so it will be hard to edit directly. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 17:46, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi McSush, can you move a little bit the star, is lightly descentered if you look the base it touchs the body of the axe, thanks for now. --Kineto007 (talk) 20:08, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
If you look carefully to the border of the 1st and 2nd flag of the left side you will notice that they have a straight edge, in comparison with the borders of the 1st and 2nd flags from the right that have a slightly "curved" edge instead of a straight one like it should be, can you fix it please? --Kineto007 (talk) 00:38, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
The tips of the spears are not sharp enough, like in the original. And there are many more imperfections that should be corrected, like the lines in the axe body for example. Please do not change the color it's correct, and the suns too, thanks in advance. --Kineto007 (talk) 18:18, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Kineto007 - i've tried a little bit - what do you think about it? McSush (talk) 03:06, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, It's pretty much better than the other version, although there are some imperfections that remained (the neck of the axe is rather shorter) and (the white knots touch the outer border of the axe), thanks in advance. --Kineto007 (talk) 21:40, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- do you know any better source instead this jpg image, e.g. a photo or something? it's difficult to recognise the details there. McSush (talk) 23:15, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
- I'm sorry I don't have any better source than this poor JPG image, I've noticed that the length of the head of the axe is more shorter than t should be, could you fix it please? --Kineto007 (talk) 19:41, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
It's not generally considered a good move here to re-upload a file which has been deleted twice before (see http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log&page=File%3AFlag+of+Lovely.svg ) unless you have some specific new relevant valid information with respect to copyright status etc. AnonMoos (talk) 17:57, 24 May 2010 (UTC) \
- Hi AnonMoos - i've uploaded the flag, because at en.wikipedia is a request for vectorising a optical identic raster graphic. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Graphic_Lab/Illustration_workshop/Top_4
- I didn't knew, that others had uploaded such file before.
- Is there any reason to delete my work, too? McSushtalk 19:40, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
- The flag design is copyrighted, unless otherwise stated by the people who run the Lovely Micronation. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 06:12, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- ok, i don't have any legal base for this image.
- but the file Flag of Lovely.png @ en.wikipedia should be deleted, too. then no one gets the idea, again, a vectorized version of it to upload here. McSushtalk 20:21, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- Just need to change the license since en.wp does accept fair use. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 06:37, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

- Excuse me for butting in, but can a design that simple be even copyrighted? Connormah (talk | contribs) 02:47, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- It has some creative elements and can be copyrighted in the USA. However, you are allowed to ask the people who run this fictional state to release the flag image under a free license and can keep it here. User:Zscout370 (Return fire) 07:24, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
