Sequential development of cognitive faculties throughout childhood

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Illustration representing the relationship between Piaget’s stages of cognitive development in children and the sequential maturation of the different divisions of the mind – a process that is reversed when old age brings mental deterioration (black stars). The three figurine inserts give an example of the art typical of the normal child in the preoperational, concrete operational and formal operations stages of cognitive development.
