Hand axes: The chenchu habitat is significant from the archeological perspective. There are evidence of early Stone age civilization in the Nallamali hills. The prehistoric stone tools viz.hand axes found near Amarabad and Padara villages indicate that in prehistoric times a population of Palaeolithic culture existed in the plateau. The representative tool of this lower Palaeolithic culture is hand axe.They were using these hand axes for animal hunting. |
