Description Another stop was at the spectacular Qutab Minar (a very large free-standing tower or minaret) in New Delhi. Built from 1192 through 1368 (by different rulers, obviously) from red sandstone and white marble. It stands 240 feet tall and has several Arabic inscriptions.
