Abin Sur (DC Legends)

Abin Sur was the predecessor of Hal Jordan and founder of the Indigo Tribe.

History

Sur was an agent of the Green Lantern Corps. After discovering the compassion aspect of the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum on Nok, he grafted an Indigo Lantern Ring onto the killer of his daughter, Iroque, transforming her into Indigo-1. He travelled to the future to combat threats to the corps, only to stay and help battle Nekron. On his deathbed, he decided to pass his Green Lantern Ring onto Hal Jordan.
