Synopsis for "Planet Heist, Part 8"
Adam Strange and the Omega Men are battling the forces of Starbreaker and Sh'ri Valkyr. Vril Dox returns with a L.E.G.I.O.N. assault fleet and the intergalactic lawmen the Darkstars. Strange manages to destroy the Thanagarian battle cruiser and its zeta beam, while the Darkstars engage Starbreaker. The Rannians are preparing to use the Omega-Beam to teleport their planet, but Sh'ri Valkyr takes Alanna Strange hostage. In the ensuing scuffle, Valkyr manages to change the coordinates of where Rann is being sent before Alanna shoots and kills her. The Darkstars are all killed but they succeed in distracting Starbreaker long enough for the Omega-Beam to teleport Rann elsewhere, leaving the being stranded.
Rann arrives in the Polaris system. Valkyr teleported the planet there hoping the appearance would spark a war between Rann and Thanagar. A grenade that Valkyr drops as she dies destroys the Omega-Beam, leaving Rann stranded in its new location. The new planet's presence destabilizes the orbit of Thanagar, putting it on a trajectory towards the sun. The group prepares to help rescue as many Thanagarians as they can.
