Synopsis for "Vice Versaasrev Eciv, Part 1 of 2"

It's autumn in Gotham. On a visit to Gotham Modern Museum, Cassandra spots a woman who looks like her mother, the notorious assassin Lady Shiva, but when she looks again the woman has disappeared. Meanwhile, Kyle Mizoguchi tells Stephanie that there was a robbery in his neighbourhood, the affluent and generally low-crime Gotham Heights. Later in the week, at the opening of Alysia Yeoh's new cafe, Barbara tells the Batgirls that, since the clocktower has been repaired, she is moving out of the loft.

That night, the Batgirls investigate the robbery in Gotham Heights. There are no records of a crime being reported in the area, but Kyle told Stephanie that the neighbourhood had been swarming with cops and there are clear signs of a police investigation. They enter the house and discover a murder scene rather than a robbery. Cassandra finds something and tells Stephanie they need to leave immediately. Once they leave the house, Stephanie sees a cat stuck in a tree and rescues it. The cat's owner "rewards" her with an old silver coin.

Stephanie follows Cassandra back to the loft, where Cassandra shows her what she found: a broken piece of a sword blade stamped with the emblem of the League of Assassins. Cassandra tells Stephanie she wants to tell her about her past but can't find the words. Stephanie suggests they both write everything they can't tell the other down, and then lock it away until they're ready. They spend the rest of the evening hanging out and decompressing. Cassandra tells Stephanie she wishes she could just switch off and be "normal" like her, and Stephanie suggests they switch places for a day. She takes out the coin and flips it, saying that if it lands heads they will spend the next day pretending to be each other, and if it lands tails they will pretend to be Barbara. However, it lands on its edge and they decide to go to bed. The next day, they wake up in each others bodies.

They naturally assume the coin was responsible and take it to Barbara, who is incredibly calm despite their panic, having seen much weirder things in her time as a superhero. She takes the coin to the Batcave for investigation and tells them to just go on patrol as each other while she's working. She also gives them Officer Brooks' contact information so they can talk to him about the murder they discovered.

The Batgirls meet with Brooks, who tells them that the victims were illegally dealing pharmaceuticals, and the lack of forensic evidence on the scene suggests the killer was a professional. He also tells them that the family's five year old daughter survived and gave a description of the killer. He shows them a sketch of the suspect based on her statement, which appears to be Lady Shiva. The Batgirls leave and tell him not to share the sketch with anyone.

An assassin goes to a bar frequented by the Hill's Angels looking for the Batgirls. The two sides almost get into a fight but the Batgirls swing down and defeat the Angels. A helicopter flies in and the assassin is killed by a blade thrown from the chopper. Lady Shiva steps out and orders "Cassandra" to get in. Stephanie in Cassandra's body enters the helicopter, which flies away. The Angels recover from their beating and offer Cassandra in Stephanie's body a deal- if the Batgirls leave them alone, the Angels will give them cut of their profits. Cassandra refuses but tells them if they give up crime, then they can talk about cooperating. The Angel's leader, Ogre, pretends to consider it and gives her a drink as a peace offering. Cassandra drinks it and passes out, realising it was drugged. She wakes up bound and gagged in a car being driven by Stephanie's father, the Cluemaster.
