Doc Dread is a villain of Metamorpho who utilizes chemical weapons.
History
As part of the "Superman theory", Doc Dread is purportedly Rex Mason's childhood friend Bobby Fradon. Fradon was recruited to portray a villain in an elaborate stunt to fool the public about the true origins of superheroes as government agents.[1] While the theory is unproven, it is known that Dread has fought Metamorpho multiple times and was arrested in the wake of Simon Stagg's murder.[2]
Notes
- Doc Dread was created by Bob Haney and Sal Trapani, first appearing in Metamorpho #8. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Doc Dread first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Doomsday Clock #5 by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank.
