The DC Animated Universe is the shared continuity of several animated series, films, comics and video games based on DC Comics stories. Created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm, it began with Batman: The Animated Series, and has run in various forms since 1992.
History
Though named a "Universe", it is actually a multiverse of its own (with at least nine Earths), with parallel worlds inhabited by an authoritarian Superman, imperialistic Kryptonians, a Nazi Superman, the Justice Lords, the Justice Guild, and the Justice Alliance, as well as two universes where all life has been eradicated by the Anti-Life Equation.
