Jonathan Kent was the adoptive father of Clark, along with his wife, Martha.
History
While Jonathan was supportive of Clark in anything he did, he often voiced concern that Clark would one day be recognized using his powers, and that it would lead to negative consequences.[citation needed]

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and is an adaptation of Pa Kent. The original character was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and first appeared in Superman #1.
- Jonathan Kent was portrayed by Eddie Jones. A younger Jonathan was portrayed in flashbacks by Steven E. Einspahr.[1]
