History

Kobra located the goddess Ouroboros and sought to awaken her. They stole an ancient book capable of controlling her and a Mother Box to help accelerate Kali-Yuga.^[1] Once freed from her eternal slumber, Ouroboros was teleported to New Genesis via a Boom Tube. Despite the planet allying with the forces of Apokolips to stop it, she was able to all but destroy New Genesis, leaving the planet uninhabitable.^[2]

Kobra later unleashed the serpent on Metropolis, with the plan being for Ouroboros to destroy the Justice League Watchtower and burrowing to the center of the Earth. As she attacked the tower, Aquagirl, Big Barda and Micron infiltrated Kobra's corporate office. While looking for the ancient book, Spellbinder tricked Micron into attacking his allies.^[3] Aquagirl was able to use her powers of hydrokinesis to short-circuit Spellbinder's equipment, freeing Micron. In the ensuring battle, Big Barda was able to take Kobra's Mother Box and send the book to Apokolips. The Kobra agents were arrested by the Metropolis Police Department, while Ouroboros was killed battling The Demon, who exploited her weakness to fire.^[4]
