Synopsis for "Trial by Fire, Part 4: Disorder in the Court"
The next day, Phobia enters the courtroom but bumps into Kate Spencer. The contact with Phobia causes Kate to hallucinate about Ramsey dying after he had grabbed her Manhunter bo staff. Kate heads to the bathroom to shake off her episode. Phobia finds a seat and notices another superhero sitting nearby. Lorraine Reilly aka Firehawk is the daughter of Senator Reilly and she attended the court proceedings on behalf of the Raymond family. Phobia radios Merlyn and Monocle to make their entry. Merlyn drives a mini van off the top of a parking garage that was adjacent to the courthouse. As the car descends right into the courthouse, Monocle uses his laser enhanced eye to blow a hole into the courtroom where the trial is being held. Firehawk tries to jump into action but Phobia causes her to hallucinate that she is burning her loved ones with her uncontrollable powers.
Kate hears the commotion from outside and dons her Manhunter suit. Kate enters the courtroom and Phobia tries to induce another hallucination but the new Manhunter suit that Dylan built for Kate has psy-shields that prevent mental tampering. Kate sucker punches Phobia. Merlyn then shoots an arrow in Kate's direction but she reacts quickly and grabs it. Kate throws the arrow into Monocle's enhanced eye and the impact causes Monocle's head to explode. With Firehawk losing her grip on reality from Phobia's hallucination, she accidentally busts open Shadow-Thief's containment cell and he retains his shadow casting abilities. With Shadow-Thief free, he engages his captor and former comrades.
