Synopsis for "Counterstrike!"

Blue Devil and Etrigan fight in the Labyrinth, the Seventh Province, and damage Hell's prison in the process.

In Praetori, the Fourth Province, Doctor Fate confronts Lady Blaze. She tells her demonic handmaidens to kill him.

In the Sixth Province, Purgatory's army detains the Shadowpact and questions their allegiance. Zauriel arrives and vouches for them, though he asks what they hope to accomplish in Hell.

Neron's advisors give him updates about the war. He decides to unleash the Wretched Damned, limitless souls that outnumber and overrun Purgatory's army.

Later, Satanus meets with his own advisors and learns they have lost control of the Second Province. He then learns that all of Hell's forces are attacking their current position.

Sargon and Zatanna encounter Ibis in the Third Province, and bring him with them.

In New York, Deadman possesses Randu and asks Jason Blood for help. The war in Hell has upset the numinous balance and driven Rama Kushna insane.

Blue Devil and Etrigan continue to fight. They destroy the prison, and inadvertently free Lobo.

Synopsis for "Half Measures"

Doctor Occult and the Yellow Peri are attacked by hungry demons called Scabbies. Occult destroys them with his Orb, but not before they eat the Yellow Peri's legs. As a result, he has to carry her on his back through the underground tunnels.
