Synopsis for "Super Sons of Tomorrow, Part 4: Into the Light"

Aqualad, Kid Flash and Starfire rush to the underwater base Superboy and Robin are hiding in so that they can protect Superboy from the future Tim Drake, now calling himself the Savior. The Titans' ship is attacked by the base's automated defenses but the Titans manage to enter the base, which causes a fight with the Super-Sons. Aqualad uses his water powers to incapacitate the Super-Sons long enough for him to explain they are here to protect Superboy; unfortunately, Raven and Beast Boy have agreed to follow the Savior.

Meanwhile, in the alternate realm called Hypertime, Conner Kent, Cassie Sandsmark and Bart Allen use Tim's severed hand to track him through different timelines. Conner, Cassie and Bart have become the respective Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash of their world and hope to bring Tim back home.

Aqualad, Kid Flash and Starfire explain to the Super-Sons that the only way to reach the Fortress of Solitude and help Superman without triggering Raven's magic is by knocking them out. Robin flat-out refuses but the choice is taken out of his hands when Superboy reluctantly knocks him out and then allows himself to be knocked out by Kid Flash.

Some time later, the Titans reach the Fortress and awaken the Super-Sons. Together, they find Superman trapped in the Savior's red Kryptonite cage but there are no signs of the Savior nearby. Superboy attempts to free his father, who warns him that the red Kryptonite affects Kryptonian powers and emotions. The Titans pull Superboy aware from the trapped Superman, who falls into the Arctic Ocean. Horrified, Superboy loses control of himself and his solar power becomes unstable, just as the Savior and the Titans converge on the Arctic.

Superman manages to escape from the cage, while the other heroes attempt to contain Superboy's solar power. As the Savior regains his lost hand, the present and future Supermen attempt to help Superboy. Apparently, Connor knew Jon and failed him once, but he will not fail him again. Robin attacks Tim and blames him for Superboy's condition, but Tim realizes that there might another way to save Superboy without killing him. Using the technology he brought from the future, Tim absorbs Superboy's solar radiation into himself, an action that stabilizes Superboy and pulls Tim into Hypertime. With the problem solved, Superman and Titans are left to honor Tim's sacrifice.
