The Weapon-Master was an intergalactic conqueror.

The Weapon-Master's origins are unknown, as well as whether he is a robotic entity or at one point had an organic body.

Lusting for power and conquest, the Weapon-Master came upon Earth, where he attacked the Fortress of Solitude and stole several weapons from the armory.[1] This caused Superman to confront the villain, but Weapon-Master managed to capture Superman and tried to drain his life-force to power a mind-control machine.[2] When all the people of Earth became mind-controlled by the Weapon-Master, Batman learned of Superman's trouble and used a machine in the Fortress to grant himself him temporary superpowers, employing his new abilities to release Superman from the Weapon-Master's trap. Batman and Superman tried to capture the Weapon-Master, but the villain managed to escape.[3] Superman and Batman were kept busy for weeks after the Weapon-Master's defeat, reclaiming weapons that were stolen from the Fortress by the Weapon-Master and subsequently fell into the hands of General Scarr and his Army of Crime.[4]

At a later date, the Weapon-Master drained the willpower-energies from the Central Power Battery of Oa using the individual Power Battery of a deceased Green Lantern. The Weapon-Master then used his control over the collective energy-pool of the entire Green Lantern Corps to brainwash the universe's Green Lanterns into enforcing his rule. Out of desperation, the Guardians of the Universe contacted Superman, knowing that the Man of Steel triumphed over the Weapon-Master once in the past, and teamed him up with Ranakar, the Guardian responsible for keeping watch over irregularities in the Central Power Battery's energy-flow. Together, Superman and Ranakar broke the Weapon-Master's mind-control over the Green Lantern Corps and captured him at last.[5]
