The cast of Only Murders in the Building has become more and more star-studded over the years, and as it approaches its fourth season, the starpower has gone through the roof. The third season recruited Meryl Streep, who remains on board for Season 4, Paul Rudd, Jesse Williams, Ashley Park and more. The murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), who played Charles-Haden Savage’s stunt double on Brazzos at the end of Season 3 provided the cliffhanger to transition into a fourth installment.
Molly Shannon, Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis and Kumail Nanjiani were already confirmed as new cast members for the fourth season of the cozy murder mystery, but that wasn’t the end of new additions. The first teaser trailer, released at Disney’s upfront, revealed Melissa McCarthy’s casting as well. The “starriest season yet” will premiere on Hulu Aug. 27. It is unclear whether staple character Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) will be back, but Detective Donna Williams (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) and Howard (Michael Cyril Creighton) will be back for the latest mystery.
