Sudden Death Beam (瞬殺波 Shunsatsuha, lit. "Instant Murder Wave") is a combination of Divine Retribution and Instant Transmission used by Goku Black in his Super Saiyan Rosé form.
Overview[]
First, Goku Black dodges his opponent's attack by using Instant Transmission to appear behind them. Then, Goku Black knocks the opponent away by pushing them with a point-blank pink-colored ki blast.
Usage[]
Goku Black used this attack during one of his many encounters with Super Saiyan Blue Goku, shortly after the arrival of Future Zamasu. While Future Trunks was battling Future Zamasu, Goku Black attempted to slice Goku with his Fierce God Slicer blade, but Goku evaded the attack with Instant Transmission. To evade Goku's attack, Goku Black does the same and uses his Sudden Death Beam, sending Goku crashing on the ground and leaving him stunned at the fact Goku Black can also teleport.
Video Game Appearances[]
"A move that uses Instant Transmission. If you get attacked before you have a chance to move, you will slip behind your opponent and retaliate with a Ki Wave!" |
This attack is named in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 where it appears as one of Super Saiyan Rosé Goku Black's Super Skills as part of the Super Pack 3 DLC. It can be obtained by the Future Warrior by purchasing it from the TP Medal Shop. Its skill description identifies it as a variation of Instant Transmission. If the user is attacked before teleporting, they will teleport behind the opponent and fire a ki wave, and thus it functions as a counterattack. However, if the user is not attacked, they will teleport to another location without attacking. As a result, it can be used as both a counter or evasive movement technique.
Trivia[]
- Despite its name, this technique is not a variation of the Death Beam.
