Health & Safety Precautions: Poké Ball Plus

Please read these instructions, the Nintendo Switch™ instructions, and the Nintendo Switch Health and Safety information before using the Poké Ball Plus. If you use the Poké Ball Plus with the Pokémon GO app, please read the instructions for your smart device and the Pokémon GO application. If this product will be used by young children, these should be read and explained to them by an adult.

WARNING - BATTERY LEAKAGE

The Poké Ball Plus accessory contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery. Leakage of ingredients contained within the battery, or the combustion products of thei ngredients, can cause personal injury as well as damage to your Poké Ball Plus. If battery leakage occurs, avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, immediatelyw ash thoroughly with soap and water. If liquid leaking from a battery comes into contact with your eyes, immediately flush thoroughly with water and see a doctor.

To avoid battery leakage:

  • Do not expose battery to excessive physical shock, vibration, or liquids.
  • Do not disassemble, attempt to repair, or deform the battery.
  • Do not dispose of battery in a fire.
  • Do not touch the terminals of the battery or cause a short between the terminals with a metal object.

WARNING - RADIO FREQUENCY INTERFERENCE

The accessory can emit radio waves that can affect the operation of nearby electronics, including cardiac pacemakers.

  • Do not operate this accessory within 9 inches of a pacemaker.
  • If you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, do not use this accessory without first consulting your doctor or the manufacturer of yourm edical device.
  • Observe and follow all regulations and rules regarding use of wireless devices in locations such as hospitals, airports, and on board aircraft. Operation int hose locations may interfere with or cause malfunctions of equipment, with resulting injuries to persons or damage to property.

IMPORTANT: To temporarily disable wireless communication such as in a hospital or airplane, turn off the Bluetooth® function on your smart device. See thei nstructions for your smart device for more information about disabling Bluetooth or wireless communications.

WARNING - GENERAL

Do not use this accessory while riding a bike or operating a vehicle. When using this accessory while walking, be aware of your surroundings.

  • Do not travel while allowing the Poké Ball Plus to dangle by its ring or strap (for example, by attaching it to a bag).
  • Avoid dropping and throwing the accessory.
  • Do not use this product while charging.
  • Make sure to charge the battery at least once every six months.

Wearing the Poké Ball Plus

Put on and tighten the wrist strap. Wear the ring on the finger that fits best. Hold the Poké Ball Plus securely. Do not let go of it. Allow adequate room aroundy ou during gameplay.

Charge and pair the accessory before using it for the first time using one of the following options:

How to Charge

Option 1: Connect the USB charging cable as shown in the diagram below. The Nintendo Switch dock should be connected using the Nintendo Switch AC Adapter as usual.

Option 2: Connect the accessory directly to the Nintendo Switch AC Adapter (HAC-002).

Option 3: Charge the accessory using the Nintendo USB AC Adapter (CLV-003).

How to Pair

To pair the Poké Ball Plus to a compatible software title, follow the on-screen instructions provided in the software.

Hardware Precautions and Maintenance

  • Do not disassemble or try to repair the Poké Ball Plus. Doing so may damage the accessory.
  • Do not spill liquids on the Poké Ball Plus. If liquids get into the Poké Ball Plus, do not charge the device. Contact Nintendo customer service for furtheri nstructions. If you have questions or experience problems with the Poké Ball Plus, please try our website at support.nintendo.com/pokeballplus.
  • If the outside of the Poké Ball Plus comes into contact with liquids, wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use cleaning agents such as thinner, benzene, or alcohol.

Important Battery Guidelines

To minimize the risk of damage to the Poké Ball Plus, when recharging the battery, use only the included USB charging cable (HAC-010), the Nintendo Switch AC Adapter (HAC-002), or the Nintendo USB AC Adapter (CLV-003).
