Saurabh Goel and Madhur Gujar, who were batchmates{{clarify|date=September 2023}} at [[IIT Kharagpur]], founded Amber in 2016. Goel had worked at Housing.com and co-founded Startuptoday, while Gujar had worked in Axtria consulting and co-founded Doubtbox.com.
