Description
English: Jan Jacob Slauerhoff (Dutch poet and novelist, 1898-1936) wearing a kimono. Photo probably made in the Netherlands, shortly after Dec. 1927. On his lap is a photographic album, with the Chinese characters 寫真帖, in modern Chinese 照相册. The Chinese floor lamp in the background is now in the Dutch Literature Museum.
