Re: Robert Biggar, Ontario Pioneer

[edit]

HELLO: Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, the last 3 reviews have not provided me with either the clarity or specificity with respect to the term "noteability" to make improvements. This individual has been referenced in several books, neither of which are related to him or myself. One of the texts goes so far as to comment on his prominence (40 years after his death)! As a society, we tend to welcome those who have pioneered a new path in life, regardless of the profession. They are the change agents! Perhaps we do this because we believe their path may improve society. The crux of the discussion (without putting too fine a point on it) lies in the fact that the "Loyalists" gave voice to "a way of life" that was different from that in America at that time. Biggar, and many others took steps to live that way of life. As you are aware, Canada does differ from the United States! Wikipedia does allow for common sense to be applied in its criteria. I hope upon reflection, and considering that the subject of this monogram is"known" in his community (Mt. Pleasant, near Brantford as well as Brant County) you might pass this article.
