Cäcilie von Eskeles (1760 Berlin - 1836 Vienna) was a prominent Jewish noblewoman, salonnière, and harpsichordist in early 29th century Vienna.[1]

Family life

Cäcilie was born in Berlin on 8 November 1749. She was one of the fifteen children of the Prussian Court Jew and banker Daniel Itzig and his wife Mariane (Miriam), née Wulff.[2] She was the sister of Fanny von Arnstein, Bella Salomon and Sara Levy. While Bella and Sarah remained in Berlin, Fanny and Cäcilie moved to Vienna when they got married.
