Calliostoma megaloprepes is a gastropod mollusc of the family Calliostomatidae, endemic to Australia. It is found around Macquarie Island, at depths of between 150 and 220 m.
The shell has a sculpture of distant narrow weak spiral cords, five or six on the penultimate whorl, and subobsolete on the base, except for two or three moderately strong cords bordering a crescentic callus-filled umbilical area. Only the uppermost cords on the early spire whorls bear weak granules, the others are smooth.
Coloration is light reddish-brown, spirals slightly darker.
Shell height is up to 38 mm, and width up to 41 mm.
