Acmaeidae is a family of sea snails or true limpets, marine gastropod mollusks in the order Patellogastropoda.

The shells are conical, with the apex more or less anterior. The radula is a narrow ribbon with one central tooth on each side, two lateral teeth, and sometimes one or two marginal teeth. Species are found world-wide.
