Turritriton labiosus or Cymatium (Turritriton) labiosum is a predatory sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Ranellidae, the tritons.

Range of distribution

This species occurs in the Indo-West Pacific oceans south to Australia and northern New Zealand, and the Western Atlantic from South Carolina to the Caribbean.

Shell description

The shell is small, solid, broadly shouldered and strongly sculptured. It is rather similar to Turritriton tabulatus exaratus but with a broader polygyrate protoconch, and distinctive adult sculpture, consisting of regular axial folds, overridden by a few strong rounded keels, each composed of three linear spaced cords, which are closely decussated by axial grooves. The inner lip has a weak parietal tubercle, and several plications at the entrance to the siphonal canal. The outer lip is heavily variced, and strongly dentate within.

Coloration is pale yellowish-brown, obscurely banded and maculated in reddish-brown. The periostracum is thin and yellowish-brown.

The shell height is up to 29.5 mm, and width up to 18.5 mm.
